Poetry Post
It was National Poetry Day yesterday on Thursday 3rd October and in Class 3 we explored, shared and read lots of poems from many different authors. We each found one of our favourite poems, copied it out and decorated it, and then shared it with people in the local community in St Peters Close.
The children loved going out to deliver their 'poetry post'. As a class, we talked about how positive it made them feel, doing something for others, and how it could send out a 'ripple of kindness'. We were delighted when we received a phone call and some emails from some of the recipients of our 'poetry post' thanking the children for their poems and for brightening up their day.
