SMSC and RE
SMSC and RE Curriculum:
SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development) at CPS - our approach and curriculum links:
At Curdridge Primary School, we recognise that the personal development of pupils, spiritually, morally, socially and culturally, plays a significant part in their ability to learn and achieve. With pupils we discuss their understanding of Spiritual,Moral, Social and Cultural development and have given some examples of how we demonstrate our understanding of it across the curriculum and around our school. This can be found on the document below. It is also strongly linked to our RE curriculum which follows Hampshire's Living Difference III document. For further details please click on the link below and read pages 90-91.
Please note schools have to teach RE but parents can withdraw their child/ren for all or part of the lessons. Pupils can choose to withdraw themselves once they’re 18. If you wish to discuss this further, please contact the Headteacher via the school office.
