Class Organisation and Timings of the School Day
Curdridge Primary School is a wonderful school where the whole community works together to provide a happy, safe and welcoming environment. We are extremely proud of our friendly school where all staff and governors work hard to provide the best possible start for all its children. Curdridge Primary School caters for both Infant and Junior children from the ages of four through to eleven. At national level these are divided into distinct curriculum stages known as:
Early Years Foundation Stage – Reception or Year R (4-5 year olds)
Key Stage 1 – Years 1 and 2 (5-7 year olds)
Key Stage 2 – Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 (7-11 year olds)
We have 4 classes of mixed year groups:
Class 1- Foundation stage and Year 1
Class 2- Year 1 and 2
Class 3- Year 3 and 4
Class 4- Year 5 and 6
School starts: 8.55 a.m.
Break time: 10:45- 11:00 a.m.
Lunchtime: 12:00-1:15 p.m.
School finishes: 3.30 p.m.
Class 1 and 2 also have a fifteen minute afternoon break.
School organisation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are currently running a staggered start and finish to our school day:
8.30am - class 4
8.35am - class 3
8.40am - Y1/2
8.45am - YR
3.15pm - YR
3.20pm - Y1/2
3.20pm - class 3
3.30pm - class 4
We ask that children and adults arrive in the churchyard at the allotted time slot. Adults should stay socially distanced in the churchyard in line with Government guidance.
